M•LVCILI / RVF Victory driving fast biga to right, holding whip in her right hand and reins in her left. Babelon (Lucilia) 1. Crawford 324/1. RBW 1180. Sydenham 599. Sharply struck and nicely toned with some underlying luster, a very attractive example. A few very light deposits, otherwise, good extremely fine.

From the collection of Kurt Zimmermann (* 1937) of Winterthur, long-serving numismatist at Schweizerische Kreditanstalt and Leu Numismatik, privately acquired from Schweizerische Kreditanstalt in December 1972, and reportedly previously acquired from Münzen & Medaillen AG.
